Hi, I'm Tim, some person who loves his cat. As I write this, I'm wandering around, with no clear objective, and a growing skepticism that I will ever have or need one.
I like cooking foods that call to mind good memories. I like progressive rock, soulful house, and ambient music. I like to check my body at the door before I catch the ghost and put it all out on the floor.
I'm a former software engineer who enjoys tinkering with home automation, machine learning, and natural language processing. I'm a recent graduate of Universität Osnabrück's cognitive science department.
At my undergraduate university UCLA, I studied linguistics and computer science. I did a bit of research on language acquisition at UC Irvine and then worked on automatic speech recognition at Intel and Soundhound.
